benevolent fund "Florimond Volckaert" for those members or their
families who fall on hard
times Skål members worldwide
receive grants or loans from the FVF for wide-ranging
reasons.
For example, the Fund has covered (but is not limited to) surgical and
hospital expenses for unemployed Skålleagues
or partners; financed
education for orphaned children of Skål members; paid for equipment to
improve the quality of life for the housebound; assisted individuals
during natural disasters; and scores of other personal (not business) needs.
The FVF is available in
times of reduced income, serious or prolonged illness, medical intervention not covered by insurance and beyond the means of the Skålleague,
criminal
damage not covered by insurance and other justifiable
circumstances approved by the FVF Trustees and as defined by AISC
By-Laws Article XIII, Section 5. For more details go to
